Ray Mansfield Volunteer of the Year Award | |||||||
|
This award, named for our first volunteer, is presented to individuals who have unselfishly devoted their time and energy to helping PA SIDS fulfill its mission.
Fundraising - Dee Shaffer, Kevin Dilley, Pat Osborne Since the death of their son, Nicholas, in 1995, Dee and Kevin have dedicated their lives to creating awareness about SIDS in the northwestern part of Pennsylvania. They have done this through their annual Corner Pocket Golf Scramble and White Elephant Auction for SIDS. Thanks to all of their relatives and friends, including Pat Osborne, the owner of the Corner Pocket, thousands of dollars have been donated to the PA SIDS Alliance. These funds have supported research efforts and helped us fulfill our mission of support to families. Their dedication has also allowed us to expand our education to the public and first responders to the Franklin, PA, area. We are proud to honor Dee, Kevin and Pat with this award. They have taken a personal tragedy and turned it into something positive for families throughout northwestern Pennsylvania.
