Rachel Carlins Our daughter, Rachel, was only 2 months old when she died from SIDS more than 23 years ago, but not a day goes by that I don’t feel her presence in our family. Our family is forever changed by her brief life and the precious memories of our brief time together. Our subsequent daughters, Sarah and Emily, know of her life and death, and our son, Matthew remembers her even though he was only 3 years old at the time.
